BART To Lose $3.5M Per Week Due To No Passengers

Hacker Group Disrupts Bay Area Mass Transit System

The coronavirus has cause panic across the Bay Area and has made people stay home. People who still have to go work and take BART have cars to themselves.

BART director Janice Li is asking for help.

We need local, regional, federal and state support. We're on course to lose $3.5M/week, and at a time when our cities are slowing down, it is more critical than ever that our public goods and transport can remain safe and reliable options. Get the word out. We need help.

With no one riding public transportation, it will call for workers to be laid off. BART is also taken precaution by adding hand sanitizer stands at all stations.
