Kendrick Lamar & The Weeknd Are Being Sued By A Brooklyn Rock Band

Brooklyn-based rock band, Yeasayer, is suing Kendrick Lamar and The Weeknd for copyright infringement on their Blank Panther collaboration "Pray for Me."

According to the band, Lamar and the Weeknd use a choral sample that the band wrote and recorded themselves in their song "Sunrise." Yeasayer claims that the choral performance is used at least eight times throughout "Pray for Me," and any modifications to it were done with the "intent to conceal the infringement."

The band is asking that the rapper and singer give them all of the profits they've made from the single as well as injunction blocking anymore sales and airplay, reports Bossip.

Check out both songs below. Do you hear any similarities?
