Former pilot James Ellis Dees was charged with nine counts of criminal mischief for allegedly writing graffiti with racial slurs towards African Americans and Hispanic people on bathroom walls and parking lots in and around airports.
According to court documents Dees admitted to writing some of it to an officer and that he had "been going through a 'really tough time,' and has anger issues." Dees plead not guilty though at his first court appearance on January 9th. Police said there were 20 incidents reported between December 2018 and December 2019.
