YNW Melly Faces Death Penalty for Murdering Friends & Staging Drive-By!

Jamell Demons, 19, also known as rapper YNW Melly, was arrested with another one of his associates Cortlen Henry, 20, aka YNW Bortlen in February and charged with first-degree murder in the 2018 deaths of two of his friends. Prosecutors now believe they can show "beyond a reasonable doubt" that the 2 committed the murders for financial gain and if found guilty, the "Murder on My Mind" rapper faces the DEATH PENALTY in the state of Florida.

Both men are from Vero Beach, where they grew up with the men they are accused of killing- Anthony Williams, 21, aka YNW Sakchaser, and Christopher Thomas Jr. 19, aka YNW Juvy.

Police said Demons and Henry plotted to kill the young men, then staged their bodies to look as if a drive-by shooting had occurred. Demons is accused of firing the shots, and then Henry drove to Memorial Hospital Miramar about 4:35 a.m. Oct. 26 with the bodies in a Jeep SUV.

Prior to turning himself in, Demons posted a photo on Instagram of all four young men together, proclaiming his innocence.

"A couple months ago I lost my two brothers by violence and now the system want (sic) to find justice... Unfortunately a lot of rumors and lies are being said but no worries god is with me and my brother (Henry)."
