For "What's Good in the Bay" at 6:50 & 8:50am the Sana G Morning Show shed the light on a program that is helping folks with suspended licenses get back on the road! The City of San Francisco is helping low-income people with suspended licenses after the city came up with the money to help the court's clear a backlog of old cases.
This could help as many as 88,000 people in San Francisco get their suspended driver's licenses back.
The people affected would have had their licenses taken away for missing their court date to address traffic tickets because they couldn't afford to pay the fines. People with suspended licenses due to criminal reasons like a DUI will NOT be eligible.
