According to a recent WalletHub survey, three Californian cities are among the most dangerous in the nation.
California's most dangerous cities were San Bernardino, Oakland, and Los Angeles, while the safest cities to live in were Fremont, Irvine, and Chula Vista.
The results were based on an analysis of the 182 largest U.S. cities using 42 variables, ranging from crime and traffic accidents to natural disasters and housing costs.
In total, more than a dozen Californian cities were ranked nationally. The 29 cities were given scores for overall rank, community safety, natural disaster risk, and financial stability, as well as their placement on the national scorecard, to show where they stood among Californian cities.
