Fans who attended the Portola Festival at Pier 80 in San Francisco are sharing videos of a seemingly out of control crowd. Video's appearing on social media show fans rushing fences and barricades to get into the event. Reportedly, security was completely overwhelmed and could not control the crowd. One attendee reported people getting crushed, similar to Astroworld tragedy, yet no serious injuries have been reported.
Some of the biggest names in dance music, including Flume, The Chemical Brothers, Gorgon City, Kaytranada, James Blake, M.I.A., Lane 8, Peggy Gou, Fatboy Slim, Caroline Polachek, Toro Y Moi, Caribou, Jamie xx, Four Tet+Floating Points, and others, are performing at the Festival, which runs through Sunday.
