An Oakland store manager ended up detained in handcuffs after he chased away would be robbers, armed with a gun. The manager says he was inside his store after someone smashed his store windows early that morning. While there, robbers entered the store setting off the alarm. He then armed himself with his gun and scared off the robbers. He chased the robbers out the store armed with his gun. The manager waived to people passing by for help and eventually flagged down a Highway Patrol Vehicle. The CHP officer then placed the manager in handcuffs until Oakland Police arrived. Once his identity was confirmed the manager was released.
