More women are coming forward with horrendous accusations against prison guards at Dublin Federal Prison. Two additional women have filed sexual harassment claims against the prison claiming guards alleging guards forced her to engage in sexual acts with her cellmate and show their naked bodies. They also allege the guards made them look out while the guards had sex in the kitchen area. KTVU reports 7 women so far have come forward with allegations of sexual harassment. They stated the women were afraid to come forward as they were afraid of retaliation.
One former prisoner, Marie Washington, stated a guard continuously sexually harassed her stating he wanted to see her vagina, "shining his flashlight through her cell window to try and see her naked." She claims the guard would do this every night.
"Every single round that he did, he would say sexual things to me," Washington said. "He would ask me if my ass was real. He would ask me to, like, dance for him. He then would like, flirt with my bunkie as well. And he told us to do something … that he wanted to see. And so we engaged in sexual activity and immediately we stopped because we were, like, uncomfortable."
Marie Washington and Laura Chaney have filed legal claims seeking $5.5 million each. None of the officers named in the claim have been criminally charged.
In the past year, five officers including the former warden at this prison have been criminally prosecuted by federal prosecutors with the crime of "sexual abuse of a ward." The Department of Justice stated that it is still investigating any additional illegal activity.
Since May, KTVU has uncovered that roughly 20 additional officers have been placed on administrative leave while the federal government looks into them for suspected drug violations, sexual misconduct, and lying.
