Bay Area rap legend Too $hort admitted recently that one of his biggest mistakes he regrets from his career wa turning down beats from Kanye West. Although Too $hort has worked with some of the biggest producers in the industry from Jermaine Dupri, Lil John, Daz Dillinger, and more.
Too $hort recalls how he was working on his 'The Fix' album released in 2002, and rapper Scarface was excitedly telling Too $hort about a young Kanye West. Scarface said to $hort "I got the coldest muh f*ckin producer.. he's from Chicago.. He got the beats.. $2000 a beat.. It's the $hit!"
$hort then goes on to explain why he turned down the beat offer from Kanye West and how he never even listened to the beats from Kanye! Watch the entire interview below.
