At Least one good thing came from this! After Chris Rock was slapped on live television by Will Smith, fans were left in shock and confusion. Rock who was visibly shaken and confused carried on with the show after the shocking slap.
According to TickPick, Chris Rock's Comedy tour tickets sales skyrocketed immediately after the slap. They claim they sold more tickets for Rock's tour in one night then they have in the last month!
Regardless, I'm sure Chris Rock is mortified by what happened. Even though Sean Combs stated Will Smith & Chris Rock had already settled their spat, Rocks camp is claiming he has had no conversation with anyone since the incident.
According to TMZ, a source close to Chris says he was left “shaken” and “bewildered” by what just happened. Allegedly, he went to his dressing room, then left the ceremony right after. The two haven’t spoken at all.
They also claim Chris had no idea Jada had alopecia, and he doesn’t “have a mean bone in his body”. Obviously, Will didn’t believe that in the moment, which is why he slapped him in front of the whole world. Since then, Will Smith took to his Instagram to officially apologize to Rock for the incident saying he was "emotional" and "it's never ok to be violent."
Rock has yet to make an official statement since the incident. Lets hope these two can work things out.
