Aubrey Phillips, a five-year-veteran of the Alameda County Sheriff's Office died unexpectedly following a traffic stop in Dublin over the weekend. Phillips had just placed completed an arrest placing the person in the back of her police vehicle yet when she got back into her patrol vehicle she began showing signs of distress. The person being taken into custody tried to help telling Phillips to lay on her side and began yelling for the tow truck driver to help the officer. Unfortunately, Phillips had suffered a brain aneurysm and was unable to be saved. The 36-year-old mother of 3 was an organ donor thus her life will continue to give life to other people.
The entire county is mourning Phillips sudden death. Sending our thoughts and prayers to the Phillips family.
