Here we go again! Now, producers are warning of a champagne shortage due to increased consumption during Covid and problems with importing products. Everything from producing to even the labels are in shortage, thus affecting the consumer. Additionally, backups at our ports and even truck driver shortages are adding to the problem. Because of this, expect to pay a higher price for those champagne bottles this NYE! You can of course still find champagne on store shelves yet you may not be able to find certain brands. Apparently, this shortage is already expected to last for "several years!"
This sounds like an excuse to drive up the prices for champagne but that just my opinion.
