City leaders in Oakland passed an ordinance which will now require proof of vaccination for indoor businesses. The ordinance begins February 1st and applies to mostly all indoor businesses including concert venues, restaurants, and gyms. With the Omicron variant of Covid 19, Oakland is taking steps similar to San Francisco to ensure those gathered in public are vaccinated.
