This is like a script for my worst nightmare! A Tiktoker has gone viral after showing a package she received from Shein was infested with bugs!
@K.arelynn uploaded a video of her experience and has garnered more than 2 million views.
She explained explained in the video that she took the item she purchased out of the package and witnessed a swarm of bugs crawling throughout the packaged clothing. She zoomed into the item and, later on in the video, revealed that the bugs began to crawl on her!
In a follow-up video, the TikToker noted that the item was in a Romwe bag because it came from Shein, as the same company owns both brands. She also added that although the bag was clear, she didn't notice the bugs before opening the package because they were inside the bag.
The TikToker told viewers, “I’m not telling you to stop buying from Shein, because I’m probably not going to stop buying from Shein either, but it could happen to someone else, and the reason I posted it was because Shein was—I was talking to a robot when I was trying to message them and tell them about this.” Customer service contacted her and informed her that they will investigate the matter. The TikToker continued, “I’m just waiting on that. I doubt I’m getting a refund.”
Shein commented on the video, saying, “Hi there, we would like to assist; please send us a DM with the order number. Thank you.” The TikToker replied, “I already did days ago & you guys said there would be an investigation, and that’s as far as it got…..”
