You may remember their story. A Bay Area couple is suing for housing discrimination after a there home appraised for $500,000 more when they decided to "white wash" their home by removing all traces of them and filling the home with images of a white family and a white owner. The couple had added a deck, additional living space and even a gas fireplace to the home before getting an appraisal. The Marin home appraised for significantly less than what they expected. After "white washing" the home, their friend pretended to be the owner and the home appraised for $500,000 more!
