Well this is interesting. It seems Ashanti wants her masters back and is willing to re-record her album in order to make it happen. During an interview with Angie Martinez, Ashanti explained that she wanted to show the importance of ownership and the business in the industry. Ashanti ultimately hopes that after she re-records the first album everything from that she owns.
Irv Gotti caught wind of Ashanti's plans and attempted to call her out on Instagram for attempting to "f*ck" him "out of my Masters."
