It's official. Kanye West is opening a prep school in Simi Valley. The Donda Academy, named after Kanye's late mother Donda West, will be a place for students to become the next generation of leaders, thinkers, and innovators by providing them with a world-class education, per their website. The school will also have a focus on sports specifically basketball. Kanye is allegedly personally recruiting players himself.
A number of top-rated high school basketball players have reportedly committed to attending the Donda Academy, even though it’s not clear if there’s an opening date yet for the school.
You sending your baby to Donda Academy. Kanye is joining the likes of people Oprah Winfrey, Jalen Rose, Lebron James and more celebrities who have successfully opened charter schools.
