Former NBA player Lazar Hayward and another traveler were arrested in Hawaii last week after they allegedly uploaded fake COVID-19 test results to the state’s Safe Travels portal.
Hayward and Raven Randle arrived in Kauai from Los Angeles last Tuesday and uploaded their fake negative COVID-19 results onto the travel portal to avoid the mandatory quarantine in Hawaii. The pair were arrested later that day after police discovered the documentation was fraudulent and charged them with unsworn falsification.
Following their arrest, Hayward and Randle were later released from police custody and taken to the airport to board a flight back to Los Angeles.
By now, you would think people wouldn't try it in Hawaii. Apparently not.
