MSNBC's 'The Reid Out' host, Joy Reid, took a moment during her show tonight to address Nicki Minaj and her Tweets regarding the Covid 19 vaccine. Earlier today, Nicki Minaj took to Twitter to respond to fans asking her opinion on whether or not to get the Covid 19 vaccine. It stemmed from fans pointing out Nicki not appearing at major events since Covid hit. Nicki responded writing:
I have an infant with no nannies during COVID. who mad? Not risking his health to be seen. One yaself.
This then led to Nicki divulging that she actually caught Covid 19 recently. This after she was told by Drake to get the vaccine given she was working towards doing more public appearance and she ironically catches Covid.
Nicki then followed up with more Tweets which were based on her own experience with Covid and how she feels about whether or not to get the vaccine.
Welp, it was only a few hours before Joy Reid caught wind and responded to Nicki's Tweets live on air! During the segment, Reid calls out Nicki stating "For you to use your platform to encourage our community to not protect themselves and save their lives...You can do better than that! For you to use your platform to put people in the position of dying from a disease they don't have to die from, OH MY GOD! As a fan, I am so sad that you did that."
Nicki caught wind of Reid's comments and responded on Twitter writing:
This is what happens when you’re so thirsty to down another black woman (by the request of the white man), that you didn’t bother to read all my tweets. “My God SISTER do better” imagine getting ur dumb ass on tv a min after a tweet to spread a false narrative about a black woman
The two white men sittin there nodding their heads cuz this uncle tomiana doing the work chile. How sad.
Nicki ultimately stated she will get the vaccine, just on her own time. Yet, she stated SHE wanted to do more research before she does. Many people feel this way, we should not shame them. Just encourage them to do the research sooner than later.
