If you needed a reason to watch the Olympics this year, Erriyon Knighton is THE reason! 17-Year-Old Knighton ran a 19.88 in the 200m to break Usain Bolt's under-20 world record and also beating world champion Noah Lyles at the U.S. Trials to make the final Olympic team!
Erriyon Knighton is the 17-years-old from Florida and is his way to the Olympics to represent USA for the first time. Knighton is set to be one of the youngest athletes to represent Team USA since Jim Ryun in 1964!
This is only the 3rd year Knighton has been running track! He got introduced to running track from his football coach and his aunt, after they were giving him other outlets to attract potential college recruiters.
At 17-years-old, Knighton has huge potential! I'm sure highschool kids around the world will be watching him!
