You never know what people are going through. Dutchess, formerly of VH1's 'Black Ink Crew NY,' spilled the tea on her experience on the show and how leaving the show led to her own mental health crisis.
“I tried to kill myself seven times,” Dutchess revealed in an interview with “Talk Of The Town Podcast.” She specifically blasts “BIC” producers for their lack of empathy and the constant pinpointing of her flaws.
Dutchess claimed her breaking point came when show executives told her she couldn’t go to her grandmother’s funeral. She stated they informed her if she left she would be missing out on a check. “These muthaf–kas was telling me I couldn’t go to my own grandma’s funeral ’cause I had to film, y’all. When they did that, that’s when I was like, y’all ain’t of God.”
