When staying loyal pays off. Fans have been wondering for months what will happen to MTV's Wild'N Out after they reportedly parted ways with the shows host and creator, Nick Cannon, following his controversial comments. Now, according to a report on Variety, Cannon has been in constant talks with the ViacomCBS president of Entertainment and Youth Group:
“We continue to follow Nick’s journey and I’m impressed by how he’s owned his mistakes,” McCarthy said in a statement to Variety. “He’s been an extended part of our family for almost 20 years and a personal friend of mine for almost half that. He’s leading by example, apologized and trying to learn to understand and help others do the same. That’s the kind of partner we want to work with.”
Just a month ago, Wild'N Out cast members DC Young Fly, Karlous Miller, & Chick Bean discussed the possibility of moving on with the show without Cannon.
“I hope that there is some beacon of hope to where it could come back the right way, but for us, when we say it’s over, it just feels like it culminated,” Chico Bean said. “If Nick isn’t the host, then we ain’t even thinking about going back over there.”
DC Young Fly then stated he made it clear that he would take over hosting position if Cannon personally presented it to him. Hopefully Cannon will be back and he won't have to do that!
