The marathon continues.
“When They See Us” director Ava DuVernay will produce and direct a feature-length documentary on the late Nipsey Hussle for Netflix, according to Deadline. Netflix reportedly secured the project for a high eight figure deal, after an intense bidding war occurred.
The deal comes less than a year after the tragic murder of Nipsey Hussle in front of his Marathon store in Los Angeles. Nipsey's family allegedly reached out to DuVernay directly to ask her to produce the documentary because they admired her work on 13th and When They See Us.
No details on a release date yet, but we are sure it will be done right!
