Manhattan District Attorney Looking To Reopen Malcom X Murder Case

USA-RACISM-MALCOM X

50 years after Malcolm X was murdered, the Manhattan district attorney’s office is looking into reexamining his murder case.

According to PIXX11, the news comes after Netflix’s popular docu-series “Who Killed Malcolm X?" was released, fueling speculation that the men who were convicted for the crime may not have had anything to do with it. DA Cyrus Vance Jr. says his office will start a preliminary review on whether they should reopen the case.

“District Attorney Vance has met with representatives from the Innocence Project and associated counsel regarding this matter. He has determined that the district attorney’s office will begin a preliminary review of the matter, which will inform the office regarding what further investigative steps may be undertaken. District Attorney Vance has assigned Senior Trial Counsel Peter Casolaro and Conviction Integrity Deputy Chief Charles King to lead this preliminary review,” The director of communications, Danny Frost said in a statement.

If you haven't watched the documentary, I highly suggest you do. Hoping the two men whom were allegedly falsely convicted of Malcom X's murder, finally find justice. Check out the trailer for "Who Killed Malcom X?" below.
