A circus tiger was filmed climbing up a cage and escaping during a performance in central China’s Henan province. Unfortunately, the tiger was later found injured after a car ran it over. The tiger died during transport to a nearby zoo. The two people from the circus have been detained by police.
This is not the first time a circus tiger has escaped its enclosure during a performance. Just last year, a circus tiger in Shanxi, China escaped its enclosure and bit two children.
The latest incident has citizens in China have expressed sympathy for the tigers plight stating the circus tigers should not be forced to perform, but should be returned to the forest.
