A man named John Martin Hill has found himself finding instant fame after allegedly scamming a woman out of $80,000 one week after meeting his new "fiance" on Match.com. Hill convinced the woman they were in love in only one week and even got engaged. Hill then convinced the woman to buy a home together and to send him $80,000 which she did! When police began investigating, they found another woman at his home claiming to be his girlfriend, yet she told police she did not know what his profession was! She claims he only came home on the weekends and work kept him away during the week.
Apparently this isn't the first time Hill pulled this stunt. He was wanted in multiple states for scamming other woman out of money!
With the help of social media, police were able to arrest Hill. Unfortunately, I am sure there are men wishing they could learn a few tricks from this allegedl scammer!
