One year after Jordan Edwards was murdered by Officer Roy Oliver, Jordan's family is finally getting justice. A Texas jury found Roy Oliver guilty for the murder of unarmed teen 15-year-old honor-roll student Jordan Edwards.
Roy Oliver went to the home due to a call about underage drinking. Jordan Edwards was a passenger in a car with 3 other teens leaving the house party when fired Officer Roy Oliver opened fire on the car murdering Jordan Edwards. Oliver claimed he was protecting his partner because the car was reversing towards them. Body camera footage proved the car was driving away from the officer. Oliver claimed his partners life was in danger yet his partner testified his life was not in danger.
Jordan Edwards was mortally wounded as a result with a rifle shot to his head.
