Here we go again. Yet so many different parts to this story you have to peep. A former hotel clerk, Duane, has now been fired after a footage of him calling a guest a "f*cking monkey" went viral. The story begins when Irby Fogleman discovered his mothers room smelled like smoke after checking into Country Inns and Suites in Newport News. He had requested a non smoking room so he went to the front desk to request a room change. That is when the confrontation began.
In the video, you can see Duane aggressively confront Irby, attempt to kick him out of the hotel and call him a "F*cking monkey." Since going viral, the hotel has terminated the man in the employee.
Now, just like Starbucks, the hotel is apologizing, undergoing a "healing process" and are also requiring all the staff undergo "racial sensitivity training." Furthermore, Duane excuses his behavior by saying his behavior was because Irby was acting "dumb and ignorant." That's ironic. He went on to say he was "stressed and hadn't taken meds in a while." Funny how he uses psychological issues as an excuse for their behavior yet still wanted to blame Irby for his own actions.
