Well this is awkward. A local coffee shop in Oakland's Fruitvale district is refusing to serve coffee to uniformed police officers. An Oakland police sergeant learned this after walking into the coffee shop, attempted to order coffee and was refused service.
There are a lot of mixed feelings about whether this coffee shop is right or wrong for this. In my opinion, it feels petty.
