Things are finally looking up as the Caldor Fire slowed down over the weekend and some residents able to return home.

As firefighters continue to gain more control on the fire, evacuation orders in El Dorado County have downgraded and some lifted. However, South Lake Tahoe evacuation orders have stayed the same, according to CNN.

CAL FIRE reports the Caldor Fire is 48% contained and has burned through over 216,000 acres (as of Tuesday 9/7). They reportedly expect the fire to be fully contained by September 27.
