In August of 2020 Kenosha police officer Rusten Sheskey shot Jacob Blake in the back 7 times, Blake survived. The incident was captured on camera and seen my billions of people worldwide. Protestors took to the streets outraged by this heinous act of brutality, which took place due to a 911 response call not involving Blake.
The Kenosha County District Attorney says that Sheskey could argue self-defense if brought before a jury. The officer claims that what cannot be seen on the cell phone video is a razor blade like knife that Blake had in his possession. The DA found this as justification for Sheskey shooting Jacob Blake in the back as he attempted to leave the scene and step foot into a vehicle full of his children.
