Police found over $18k in a Catholic priest's car & find out that this Bay Area "man of god" has been stealing people's tithes for years! Father Oscar Diaz of Resurrection Parish in Santa Rosa got into a car accident and injured his hip in the process. When police came to assist the pastor they found $18,305.86 in cash inside of Diaz's car. Upon further investigation authorities discovered that he had been embezzling donation & church offerings for years totaling nearly $100,000. The church is not pressing charges against Father Diaz, but has come out & said that he will not be preaching anytime soon and that his future within the church is unclear.
