Heading south of the border for a little sun-kissed getaway from...everything? It's going to cost you a bit more.
Besides shelling out for the flight and the resort, starting on April 1st visitors to the Mexican state of Quintana Roo will now have to pay a new tourist tax.
Falling under the fee are the well-known vacation destinations Cancun, Playa Del Carmen, Cozumel, and Tulum.
The $11 US will be collected at the airport or online, either when booking the ticket or on a soon-to-launch website called Visitax.
