The city of Houston has unveiled a massive mural honoring George Floyd outside his former high school.
The street mural stretches for two full blocks in front of Jack Yates High School, displaying the words 'BLACK LIVES MATTER' along with a #88 jersey - Floyd's number when he played for the school football team.
Local leader Carl Davis called Floyd a "hometown hero" and said the mural will "inspire students and give a voice to the struggle for social justice in Houston and the world."
