Jennifer Lopez is mom to 12 year old twins Max and Emme.
She graces the cover of the February edition of Elle magazine and shares how it was Max that encouraged her to use her voice for social change.
She said Max wanted her to realize she had power and that she should use it. He encouraged his mom to speak out.
Jennifer describes the moment as one of those parenting moments when you're like 'maybe I'm raising a conscientious, kind, loving kid here.'
Jennifer along with her kids made signs and attended protests over the summer.
She said she was not use to being in crowds but it was empowering.
