Congress met on Wednesday morning to count the Electoral College votes and prepare to confirm President-elect Joe Biden as the nation’s next leader.
But during those proceedings Trump supporters who have been in the DC area protesting the election results decided to storm & terrorize the Capitol building
Hundreds of Trump supporters pushed through metal barricades at the back of the Capitol building about 1 p.m. Eastern & began to rush the chambers.
They also climbed the building to hoist MAGA & trump flags as well as chant that Trump had actually won the election.
Multiple officers have been injured and more are still trying to hold order at the Capitol building.
As of 3pm Eastern there has been a curfew for the Washington D.C. area that is announced for 6pm & the National Guard was just said to be sent to help control the out of hand fracas.
