Netflix Premieres “She Did That” Documentary Highlighting Black Women

Democratic Senate Candidate Phil Bredesen Holds Fish Fry In Nashville, Tennessee

If you’re looking for a new Netflix show then in honor of Black History month you should try “She Did That,” a new documentary that highlights black women entrepreneurs.

Filmmaker Renae L. Bluitt follows the journey of four entrepreneurs, author, speaker and digital strategist Luvvie Ajayi, hair care maven Lisa Price, founder of Carol’s Daughter, Melissa Butler, founder of beauty brand The Lip Bar, and financial guru Tonya Rapley of My Fab Finance.

Bluitt says that #BlackGirlMagic was the inspiration behind the new film and she hopes other women of color will see how the women featured overcame in order to make their dreams come true.

“Entrepreneurship can be a lonely journey, particularly for Black women who may not have the resources to hire a team. I want women to know that even the most successful women in business have experienced the challenges and obstacles they face while building their brands...if the women in this film can do it, you can do it, too,” Bluitt said.
