Liam Neeson had a chance to explain himself after controversial comments were made public on Monday.
He said he is not racist. In an interview with The Independent, Neeson said he wanted to "unleash physical violence" on a black man after hearing about a friend's rape.
On Tuesday, Neeson told Robin Roberts on Good Morning America, "I went out deliberately into black areas in the city, looking to be set upon. It shocked me and it hurt me ... I did seek help, I went to a priest.”
Neeson said if his friend had identified the attacker as a white man, he would have gone out looking for a white man.
Neeson hopes this controversy will help people "open up" about their feelings on race.
