Atlanta Nightclub Faces Backlash Over Alleged Sexual Assault On FB Live

Protestors demonstrated outside of Opera Atlanta on Wednesday, marking the second day of protests, over a woman who was allegedly sexually assaulted on the dance floor of the club while she streamed the incident on Facebook Live.

The woman was seen dancing with a man before the incident took place, during the live stream the woman can be heard calling out for help and crying. Both the woman and man have been identified and was contacted by Atlanta police.

Opera Atlanta released a statement saying they are cooperating with police, unfortunately, that wasn’t enough for DJ Zedd who canceled an upcoming appearance at the club.

The alleged victim, who is no longer in Atlanta, has hired high-profile attorney Chris Stewart who successfully got a sexual assault victim a $1 billion settlement after he proved that a security guard raped her when she was 14.
