A single mother in New York was not about to let someone try to steal her car.
On Tuesday, 49-year-old Tihisha Jones auto-started her 2005 Honda Pilot to warm it up.
When Jones and her 5-year-old son walked to the car, she noticed someone sitting in the driver's seat. The suspect was trying to mess with the ignition and steal the vehicle. The alleged carjacker was 19-year-old Bernardo Santiago.
Jones opened the passenger door to confront him. Santiago closed it. That's when Jones went over to the driver's side and pulled Santiago out of the car.
Video footage shows Jones pinning Santiago down as they waited for police to arrive. Jones said, "I had to take matters into my own hands because I work, I saved to get that car myself."
Santiago told police that he got into the car because he thought it was his Uber. ... Riiiiight.
