ABC’s Black-ish may be moving to Netflix if creator Kenya Barris has anything to say about it. The split comes on the heels of a report that ABC pulled a Black-ish episode over creative differences. The unseen episode focused on NFL players and protesters.
A spokesperson from ABC told Variety, “One of the things that has always made Black-ish so special is how it deftly examines delicate social issues in a way that simultaneously entertains and educates. However, on this episode there were creative differences we were unable to resolve.”
Barris is already working with Netflix on a reboot of “Shaft” featuring Samuel L. Jackson as well as writing for Coming To America 2 with Eddie Murphy. Would you still watch Black-ish if it was on Netflix?
