Suspect Identified in Father's Day Pier 39 Shooting

An arrest was made in the Father's Day shooting in San Francisco near Pier 39 that left six people injured. Around 7PM Sunday, SFPD officers responded to reports of a shooting involving occupants of a white sedan & occupants of a black SUV. The occupants in SUV were shot and one is in critical condition and in police custody. They were identified as a 28-year-old female and 33-year-old Lee Haywood, both of Pittsburg. Hayword has been booked and charged with the following: Negligent discharge of a firearm, Wanted felon in possession of a firearm, Carrying a loaded firearm in a vehicle, & Carrying a concealed firearm. The suspects in the white vehicle remain at large. Two uninvolved victim vehicles were struck by gunfire in the area of Beach and Stockton Streets. The victims in those vehicles, a 48-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman, both sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Police say the incident is still under investigation.
