Derek Chauvin Murder Conviction Upheld in George Floyd Killing

The Minnesota Court of Appeals has upheld the murder conviction of former Minneapolis police officer, Derek Chauvin in the death of George Floyd. Chauvin's attorneys were claiming thayt legal and procedural errors, as well as the massive amount of media coverage, had denied their client a fair trial. Chauvin is serving a 22.5 year sentence for murder and manslaughter, ans a concurrent 21 year federal sentence for violating Floyd's civil rights.
