SF Supervisors Approve SFPD to Use Robots Armed With Explosives on Suspects

In a 8-3 vote, San Francisco supervisors approved SFPD to use robots to kill people in limited emergency situations like mass shootings or suicide bombers. The Robots aren't new, just the way how the SFPD can now use them are. The Department has had these robots since 2010. Some robots currently in the department’s arsenal, like the Remotec F5A, can also climb stairs, lift over 85 pounds, overcome curbs, handle any hazmat situations, and self-right when they’re flipped over.
