According to a new report released by the city, there is a 14:1 ratio of vacant homes to homeless people on the street. The report shows in increase from 40,000 empty homes in 2019 to now there are 61,000 vacant homes in San Francisco. San Francisco has over 5000 homeless people, while most of the empty homes are vacation homes with 10,000 total. A lot of the empty homes are because landlords are taxing on rent. Full story below.
