It ain't looking to good right now for the Empire actor Jussie Smollett! On January 29th the news broke that Jussie was attacked in Chicago by two men who recognized the actor from the hit T.V. show. Police were able to identify the perpetrators and after a few days of interviews & interrogation, the two gentlemen were released with out being charged of a crime. Chicago police have new info that has shifted the focus of the investigation back to Jussie.
CPD spokesman, Anthony Gulielmi said, "The information was received in interviews with two individuals who were questioned by police and that the department has reached out to Smollett’s attorney to request a follow-up interview."
The Police admitted that they do not have any evidence that Jessie staged the attack, and the rumors are "Uninformed and inaccurate."
