On Wednesday, August 26 demonstrators marched throughout Downtown Oakland to protest the police shooting of Jacob Blake in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The protests began with about a dozen speakers at the plaza, then attendees began marching while chanting "No racist cops, no KKK, justice for#JacobBlake.” ABC7NEWS reported that several people were arrested after "agitators" in the crowd starting lighting trash cans on fire, setting off fireworks, and breaking windows on Broadway.
