Michael Che is making more moves outside of his “Weekend Update” role on Saturday Night Live.
The stand-up comedian will star in and executive produce a sketch comedy series at HBO Max. The streaming service has ordered six episodes which will tackle subjects such as police brutality, unemployment, and falling in love from a Black vantage point.
There hasn't been any other details released just yet about the series, which is currently called Untitled Michael Che Project.
In a press release, Michael Che commented,
“I’m really excited to be working on this show with HBO Max. It’s a project I’ve been thinking about for a while and we have a lot of sketches we want to shoot, so please wear your masks so that we can go into production.”
