Power fans, it looks like the wait is over! The spinoff Power Book II: Ghost, starring Mary J. Blige and Michael Rainey Jr., will premiere this September, Starz announced today (Friday, July 10). An exclusive video teaser will be released via the Starz App this Saturday, July 11 at 9:01 pm PT. It will also air on the network this Sunday, July 12 at 9 pm!
Power Book II: Ghost is a modern-day sequel focusing on Michael Rainey Jr. aka Tariq. The series will also star Mary J. Blige as a successful businesswoman ‘Monet’, Method Man as attorney David MacClean, and LaToya Tonodeo as Monet's daughter. Naturi Naughton's Tasha and Shane Johnson's Cooper Saxe are also set to be in the spin-off. Series franchise creator Courtney A. Kemp will be producing the series spinoffs alongside Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson through G-Unit Film and Television and Mark Canton through Atmosphere Entertainment MM.
